In the fourth community survey conducted by the City of Roseville since 2014, 94 percent rated their quality of life as either "excellent" or "good." The overall positive rating is at the top of suburban Twin Cities communities, with the “excellent” rating being double the metropolitan area average of 20 percent. Residents also report being committed to the city, with 91 percent planning to continue living in Roseville for more than five years.
Factors contributing to Roseville's high quality-of-life rating include “strong neighborhood/good housing” and “closeness to family." Community was also a key attribute cited by residents, with 88 percent reporting the general sense of community to be strong.
Residents’ positive perception of city services also ranked among the top of metro communities. Eighty-nine percent of those holding an opinion reported satisfaction with city services, while city staff earned a 96 percent job approval rating from those who responded.
Feedback about whether the city is on the right track also trended positive in the survey, improving four percentage points compared to 2018 to 87 percent.
The 2020 City of Roseville Quality of Life survey includes responses from 400 randomly selected adult residents. Professional polling firm the Morris Leatherman Company conducted the survey by phone between April 20 and May 15, 2020.
