Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month

The Month of May was selected as Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage Month to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese people to the United States on May 7, 1843. The City of Roseville invites all members of the Roseville Community to renew their commitment to ensuring racial equality, understanding and justice and to participate in activities designed to advance the cause of freedom and equality for all.

The City Council declares May, 2022 to be Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the City of Roseville.

Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental health is a part of overall health and helps to sustain an individual’s thought processes, relationships, productivity and ability to adapt to change or face adversity. We recognize the importance of mental health to all people and believe that every citizen and community member can make a difference in helping end the silence and stigma that discourages people from getting help.

The City Council hereby declares the month of May, 2022 to be Mental Health Awareness Month in the City of Roseville.

National Police Week - May 11-15

To honor the efforts of The Roseville Police Department, City Council proclaims May 11-15 to be National Police Week, and May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

The proclamation encourages citizens to learn more about the duties, responsibilities, hazards and sacrifices of their law enforcement agency, as they provide vital public service. Read the proclamation.

Older Adults Month

Older adults in Roseville are the roots from which our community has grown, who bestow gifts of wisdom and insight upon younger generations and strengthen the bonds between neighbors to create a better place to live; and The City of Roseville urges every citizen to honor our older adults and the professionals, family members and volunteers who care for them.

The City Council hereby declares the month of May, 2022 to be Older Adults Month in the City of Roseville.
