The City is developing a civic campus master plan to provide an overall strategy for the city’s civic campus. This effort follows some individual space needs studies and the acquisition of the Lexington Shops mall in 2017.
Development of a civic campus master plan will guide future development and investment, as needs for services have grown steadily over the last 10 plus years.
This process builds on detailed operational review of key City services such as Licensing and Maintenance, with the goal of establishing planning recommendations for the civic campus that:
Address space needs with recommendations for facility sizing, renovations, and growth.
Support functionality with recommendations for key adjacencies.
Provides clear and convenient access for citizens with revised planning of key service areas and parking.
Enhance the overall quality of place, indoors and out, with an overall vision for a unified civic campus.
The city invites all residents to participate in the review process and provide their feedback by visiting an interactive website where you can view and comment on current concepts and answer some survey questions about the campus and potential impacts.
The draft of the Civic Campus Master Plan will be presented to the City Council on Monday, April 12, 2021, during the regular City Council meeting.
